One of the best Ayurvedic herbs for use in supporting a healthy female reproductive system.  It has been used to treat vaginal infections, abdominal pains, uterine sluggishness, leucorrhea, menorrhagia, uterine spasms, and dysmenorrhea.

The herb will detoxify the body and will purify the blood.  It is helpful in preventing skin allergies.

The Ashoka tree is considered a sacred tree in India.  It is one of the oldest known Indian trees.  The tree has been classified as “vulnerable” in the IUCN list because of its dwindling population and destructive harvesting from natural habitats.  It’s indiscriminate and destructive harvesting has led to an acute shortage of genuine plant material.  This has led to widespread adulteration and substitution with other plant material.  Because of this, we recommend Uva Ursi as a good replacement.  Uva Ursi is widely available in the US and grows wild in the Colorado mountains.  We do not sell Ashoka Bark plant material, but we do still have Ashoka tincture.
