Angelica, Giant Angelica (Angelica ampla) Tincture

Angelica Ayurvedic Herbal Tincture 1oz, 4oz  


 There are as many as 60 separate species of Angelica spread across at least North America, Europe, Russia, and northern Asian countries. We use a wild species of Angelica found in the Colorado mountains and organic Angelica root powder to create tea, tinctures and oils.  The Ayurveda name of Choraka is for a species found in the Himalayas. 

Angelica’s medicinal properties: tonic, expectorant, stimulant, antibacterial, antiviral, antitumor, anticancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, carminative, emmenagogue, diuretic, diaphoretic, antimitotic, antiproliferative, chemopreventive, antiulcerogenic. 

Angelica is used for all vata diseases (tremors, neuralgia, paralysis, arthritis).  Angelica has traditionally been used as a tonic and for the digestive system.  It increases stomach acid.  It is considered warming and sweet. 

A tea made from the herb can help with hearing and eye problems. It will strengthen the heart.  Good for sluggish liver and spleen.  Will cleanse and heal old ulcers.

For digestive system problems: intestinal gas, bloating, indigestion, heartburn, colic.  For urinary tract problems. Good for respiratory diseases of the lungs and chest, bronchitis, asthma, cold and flu. 

Has shown effectiveness for arthritis, atherosclerosis, skin disorders, insomnia, weak libido, blood issues and circulation, and cancer.  The herb is being extensively studied for its antitumor and anticancer properties.
