Anantamul (Hemidesmus indicus) Oil
Used externally for daily/weekly/seasonally abhyanga and as a nasya oil. For best therapeutic effect used in parallel with dry herb 1/2-1 tsp. 1 time a day and the tincture 1tsp in good quality daily water to consume during the day.
In Sanskrit Anantamul means "the eternal root", in Hindu Sugandhi _ "the fragrant one" and in English known as Indian Sarsaparilla. Traditionally used to treat rheumatism, leprocy, impotence, urinary tract and skin infections. Recent research in several studies and plant medicinal properties as: antioxidant, antipyretic, anticancer, anti diabetic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anttimicrobal, hepatoprotective, cardioprotective, renoprotective, neuroprotective and immunomodulatory properties was well investigated and documented.
As pitta balancing and pitta reducing H. indicus is a cooling plant that gently cleanses excess pitta from mind and body and removes toxins from the blood. Aphrodisiac: for men helps to support production of sperm and testosterone and can help to increase production of breast milk as well as promote healthy skin. Also, traditionally was used to pacify/calm the mind from negative emotions like irritability, annoyance, exasperation or anger.
